This documentary film looks at England football fans before and during World Cup 2006 in Germany, concentrating on the “Fanfreundschaft: Towards a Fan-Friendly World Cup” initiative organised by the English FA’s “Englandfans”. This move away from the stereotypical image of the England fan as a drunk hooligan is very important in reassuring the German public that the English want a friendly and peaceful stay in Germany during the World Cup, as well as reconfirming to the rest of England how well behaved our fans were in Summer 2006.

The film will be produced in two different formats:
- a short news piece, produced in German for broadcast on German national and/or regional television. It will also be available as an online resource.

- and a full length documentary, which will be produced mainly in English, with sections in German. German and English subtitles will be provided in full, for broadcast on German and English television/digital television.

DOWNLOADS - Clips from the film and various news pieces will be regularly produced in both English and German. These clips will be available for download on this site under the Video Clips page.

The full length film will have an exclusive big screen showing and DVD launch party in Magdeburg – the home town of director Jamie McDine - attracting press from both England and Germany to Sachsen-Anhalt and emphasising the relationship between both countries.

The DVD will also be made available to buy, details of how to buy the DVD will be announced at a later date.
