The concept of this film is to eradicate the myth of England fans as football hooligans and show the German and English public, and the rest of the world how friendly our fans are and were at the World Cup 2006. For the full project description click here

What we want from you
We are looking for people who will be travelling to the World Cup, going to the matches, taking part or viewing the friendly fan initiatives that have been organised in various cities across Germany throughout the tournament.

These England fans would film what really happens at the World Cup from the fan perspective – if there is great relationship with other nationality fans, swapping flags, drinking together and generally creating a friendship, this would be shown.

However, if there is any trouble or violence this would also be recorded, but from the fan perspective – not like the exaggerated images we are used to seeing in the media, where a small fight in a bar can seem like a full scale riot. The whole point is keeping a perspective on it and showing it how it really is.

Fundamentally, this is a film about England fans at the World Cup and how we behave and mix with other people.

Furthermore, the images recorded by the fans would be cut together with interviews from fan event organisers and worldwide football experts to see if the theory was put into practice.
