![]() Jamie McDine is an award winning director and producer of short films, documentaries, music videos and websites. He is currently living in Magdeburg, Germany, working on a variety of projects in both English and German. Specific examples of current and recent projects can be found on Jamie’s website: www.ivisualise.co.uk Recent documentaries In 2005 Jamie produced and directed “Das Treffen: The Other Side”, a 25 minute behind-the-scenes documentary with Theater Magdeburg and the Tennessee TPAC in Nashville. The documentary was released on DVD and broadcast on German television to celebrate the groundbreaking transatlantic play. The production combines interviews with the actors and director with excerpts of the play and images from both cities (Magdeburg and Nashville). In Autumn 2005 Jamie worked with young immigrants in the East German city of Magdeburg, producing and directing “Fremdsein in Magdeburg” (Stranger in Magdeburg), a 22 minute documentary film against racism. The film investigates the problems that different youths face when moving to the city, in respect of their race, skin colour and nationality. The film’s star, Cedric Kanguidi, speaks in particular about the abuse he receives from Nazis because of the colour of his skin. The film has already been broadcast on German TV, on the big screen in the theatre and used in schools across the region. ![]() |
